Deerhunter - MicrocastleJust to say, I had never heard this band until I listened to this album. So this is coming from someone who is unfamiliar with them and everything they had ever done. I really enjoyed how each song logically lead into the next. It made the album one cohesive piece instead of 12 separate songs. A lot of the piano work on the more ambient tracks was really fragile sounding and in arpeggios, which reminded me of Brian Eno's Ambient series. However the album can quickly go from soft single string guitar plucking to full on drum filled cymbal crashing jams with oscillating guitars. However as chaotic as it may seem, it is also very graceful and relaxing to listen to.
